Confused? It's no wonder...

You'll vote three times.

1. Presidential Preference Primary, where you'll pick who you want to run for president. You will get to vote either a Democratic ticket or a Republican one. You can vote absentee (early), in-person advance, or on Super Tuesday, which is the final voting opportunity (March 6).

2. General Primary: This election is for federal, state and local offices and determines who will run for things like US House of Representatives State Senate, State House, County Commission, School Board, etc.

3. Presidential Election: November 6, 2012. Again, you can vote absentee (early), in-person early or on the Big election day: November 6, 2012. You will be voting for president of the United States and for federal, state and local offices.

4. The need for run-off elections may arise. We'll update this page if that's the case.
